The Xavier School Educational and Trust Fund, Inc. (XSETFI) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on May 5, 1966. It was established as the ‘Grant-In-Aid’ program of Xavier School with a mandate of providing scholarship grants to deserving Xavier School students who encounter financial difficulty in having a Xavier education.
Since the Xavier School Nuvali opened, it has had a bold vision to make Xavier-quality education accessible to the poor by having 25% of the student population on some form of financial aid. XSETFI was tasked to extend its GIA program to the best and brightest from public elementary schools in Laguna to study high school at Xavier Nuvali. The Zuloaga Scholarship Fund was launched in 2012 to specifically support the Nuvali scholars. On October 8, 2020, the 8th death anniversary of Fr. Zulo, as he is fondly remembered by many alumni and friends, Xavier School relaunched the Fr. Ismael Zuloaga SJ Scholarship Fund that directly sponsors the education of high school Grant-in-Aid (GIA) recipients who are graduates of public elementary schools. The relaunch of the scholarship fund aimed to support 150 scholars and achieve the goal of having 25% of high school students as full GIA recipients.
