The UCPB-CIIF Foundation, Inc., formerly UCPB Foundation, Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 28, 1987. It is a non-stock, not-for-profit organization. It is an operating organization. Its main office is located at 17th Floor UCPB Corporate Offices Building, 7907 Makati Avenue, Makati City. The Foundation has 6 regular staff, 6 volunteers, and 11 members of the Board of Trustees.
Its purposes, among others, are “to be the lead provider of opportunities in improving the quality of life of small coconut farmers and coconut-producing communities and to transform coconut communities into productive and self-sustaining villages by providing social development services. The Foundation’s programs now focus on Scholarship for College & Technical Vocational Training for children of coconut farmers nationwide and Reforestation of Marikina denuded forestland inside the Marikina watershed.
This is the Foundation’s sixth (6th) application for PCNC Certification. The following are the dates of its certification:
1st Application – 3- year certification – (January 18, 2000 – January 13, 2003)
1st Renewal – 3- year certification – (December 13, 2004 – December 12, 2007)
2nd Renewal – 3- year certification – (October 25, 2007 – October 24, 2010)
3rd Renewal – 3 -year certification – (December 2, 2010 – September 30, 2013)
4th Renewal – 5- year certification – (October 14, 2013 – August 23, 2018)
