Prepare Kingsway Ministries Inc. was envisioned and founded by Alina Voda in 2011. Alina volunteered in existing evangelistic and medical outreaches to the Solid Cement area conducted by different NGOs. When those medical and evangelistic outreaches ended, she saw the need to continue and establish a similar ministry. Prepare Kingsway Ministries Inc. was a name given according to Isaiah 40:3 NKJV, hoping that God Himself will transform the community.
The Prepare Kingsway Ministries Inc. team started evangelistic outreaches and formed bible study groups in partnership with different local churches. They also established the health and bible club with pre-teens, a prenatal course, and regular medical outreaches with licensed doctors. Therefore, the ‘nickname’ – “Rapha Ministry” was given, which refers to “Jehovah Rapha,” which means “God is our Healer.”
The solid Cement area is isolated with a significantly high crime rate and is highly populated by marginalized and low-income families. NGOs rarely offer their programs and services. Prepare Kingsway Ministries Inc. was established at Riverside, Sitio Tagbak, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal to promote social welfare and spiritual transformation. In 2014, Mirja Lotz, a missionary of VDM (Vereinigte Deutsche Missionshilfe) who served in the Philippines since 2001, started joining Prepare Kingsway Ministries Inc. Mirja saw the children who are neglected roaming around the community. She always had the burden of caring for children at risk. Through her experiences working with street children and working at a residential care facility, she saw the need for preventive measures so that those children would not end up on the street and a child-caring agency. In 2015, Prepare Kingsway Ministries Inc. launched the Play Group and Livelihood Program. Playgroup is a program for neglected, malnourished, vulnerable children. It’s a safe place where their emotional, physical, and social development needs are met through holistic care. Mobile kids church and home visitation were held once a week to get to know and establish relationships with the community members.
With the ministry’s growth and receipt of a designated donation to buy land to build a ministry center, Rapha Ministry Center was inaugurated in November 2016. The operation began in January 2017.
