PHINMA Foundation Inc. (PFI) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on June 23, 1989 by the principal shareholders and managed companies of Philippine Investment-Management (PHINMA), Inc. with the aim of extending funding assistance to activities geared towards the total enhancement of Filipinos. Its main office is located at 12/F PHINMA Plaza, 39 Plaza Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati City.
Its purposes, among others, are “to expand and manage the PHINMA National Scholarship program thereby molding leaders in the fields of accountancy, engineering and education; to provide financial assistance primarily for projects and programs focused on education, culture, disaster relief, the environment and the religious; and to help PHINMA companies make life better in the communities they serve.” The Foundation’s focus is now on PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) program.
