The Augustinian Province of Santo Nino de Cebu – Philippines has committed “to serve the people of God through its various apostolates”. These apostolates aim to address the spiritual and temporal needs of the community and it also serves as the Province’s response to the call for participation in building God’s kingdom on earth.
The Philippine Augustinian’s growth through the years increasingly demands upon it streamlining of programs and financial systems more responsive to its needs and anchored to the mission of the Province. It has become imperative therefore to standardize mechanisms especially on program and financial planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation and to strengthen the ministries’ programs and align these to the ‘quadrennial’ plans.
It is for this end that the Philippine Augustinian Development Office (PADO) was established, improving on the successes and shortcomings of the Philanthropic Development Office (PDO) created in 2013 to rally multi-stakeholder support to the Augustinian mission. Three years later, adjustments were made with the setting of new directions and priorities.
The Philippine Augustinians Development Office Inc. or PADO is the technical support arm of the OSA Philippine Province, established to streamline its programs and systems responsive to the Augustinian’s growth and anchored on the Province’s mission of service and evangelization. It develops technical capability, conceptualizes development projects and promotes sustainable resource mobilization programs to realize the Augustinian mission through collaboration and partnerships with the commissions and other stakeholders. PADO evolved from the Philanthropic Development Office (PDO) in 2013 and became an integral part of the structure of the Province. It was registered with SEC on May 31, 2018 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation, and accredited in May 2019 with DSWD Region 7 as a resource agency on social welfare development programs.
