The KC Philippines Foundation, Inc. was established by members of the Order of the Knights of Columbus in the Philippines. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on February 9, 1971 to carry out religious, educational and social relief for the needy and those in the depressed areas. It is a corporate foundation. Its main office is located at Fr. George J. Williams, S.J. Center, Gen. Luna cor. Sta. Potenciana Streets, Intramuros, Manila. The foundation has 1 regular staff, 5 volunteers (from Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines, Inc.) and 9 members of the Board of Trustees.
It was first certified for 1 year on September 6, 2013 and which ended on July 4, 2014.
Its purposes, among others, are “to promote the noble cause of the Knights of Columbus; to provide continued educational support and charitable assistance to deserving children of active indigent members of the Knights of Columbus; and to help meet the needs of the people in the socially-depressed areas in the country”. The Foundation’s programs focused on the following areas: 1) Scholarship Grant; and 2) Disaster Relief and assistance.
