The H.A.R.I. Foundation, Inc. was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on March 14, 2006 by the officers of Hyundai Asia Resource, Inc. (HARI) officers as its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm. It is a grant-making/operating organization. Its main office is located at 12th Floor KPMG Center, Ayala Avenue, Makati City. The foundation has 6 seconded staff (1 staff is assigned full time to the foundation); about 400 volunteers, and 5 members of the Board of Trustees.
Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are “to build climate change-adaptive and resilient nation where every Filipino responsibly protects and preserves the environment; to educate, mobilize and empower every Filipino, to adapt and to mitigate the impacts of climate change”. The Foundation’s programs/projects now focus on the following areas: a) Education, b) Environment and 3) other CSR Engagements.
