Febias College of Bible, Inc. was founded by a group of American servicemen Chaplain Russell G. Honeywell and Mr. Carl Urspringer on September 21, 1945 which was then called Far Eastern Bible Institute and Seminary. In July 5, 1948, the school opened with 20 students. In December 3, 1968, the name of the school was changed to FEBIAS College of Bible, Inc. The following year, FEBIAS became a Filipino corporation and began to operate under the permit of the then Bureau of Private Schools now Commission on Higher Education (CHED). In July 3, 1969, the school was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit Bible college and seminary. In July 1971, government recognition was granted to FEBIAS College of Bible to offer the 4-year Bachelor of Arts program majors in Bible and Theology. Pastoral work, Missions, Christian Education and Church Music were the thrusts of the program. Presently, FEBIAS maintains its high academic standards and holistic training for future pastors, missionaries, Christian educators, Christian workers and evangelical leaders. The school is located in Karuhatan Road, Valenzuela City. The school has 44 regular staff (teaching and non-teaching), 15 part-time faculty, 1 part-time staff (non-teaching), 1 project-based staff, 3 regular volunteers and 15 members of the Board of Trustees (2 vacant positions)
It was first certified for five (5) years on April 25, 2003 which ended on April 24, 2008. First Renewal was certified for 5 years on March 10, 2009 and which ended on March 9, 2014. Second Renewal was certified for 5 years on February 6, 2014 and which will end on February 11, 2019.
Its purposes, among others are, “to produce godly leaders for the country and other parts of the world and Christ-like in character, relevant and responsive to the needs of the time in fulfilling the Great Commission; to provide opportunities for excellent training and development of men and women of God, Christian leaders who excel and have spiritual cutting edge in various areas of ministry such as pastorate, missions, evangelism, Bible teaching, Christian Education, and Church Music; and to fulfill its commitment to ministry through college and graduate education, professional development and provide direction and facilities for theological, technical and practical research. Currently, the school offers the following courses: ABTh-Pastoral Studies, ABTh-Missions, ABTh-Christian Education, ABTh-Church Music Education, ABTh-Church Music Conducting, BEED-Preschool Education and AB-Christian Ministries. They also offer Pre-school and Kinder education. Geographical scope of area: Valenzuela City and students coming from Manila and different provinces.
