The DZRV Radio Veritas Foundation Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization on December 15, 1993. It is the social services and development arm of Radio Veritas Global Broadcasting System, Inc. (Radio Veritas). Originally established to provide on the spot and immediate financial relief to indigent listeners of Radio Veritas who seek assistance, today, the foundation continues to help their indigent Kapanalig members (most of their Kapanalig members are also donors) thru medical, financial, and funeral assistance, as well as scholarship and skills training. Its main office is located at #162 West Avenue corner EDSA, Quezon City. The Foundation has 7 regular volunteers (seconded from Radio Veritas Global Broadcasting System, Inc.) and 6 members of the Board of Trustees.
It was certified for 3 years on December 29, 2006 and which ended on December 28, 2009. After its certification expired, the foundation was not able to renew immediately its certification due to reorganization, preparation for the amendments of Articles of Incorporation and By-laws and their application with DSWD.
Its purposes, among others, are “a faith-centered radio foundation with religious and social mission; to organize and sustain church media community, religious multi-media program and public service; and to organize in collaboration with other institution, social services and development programs in terms of health services, skills training and formation of youth, disaster and relief operation and such other activities that will alleviate victims of calamities”. The foundation’s programs focused on Medical, Financial, Funeral Assistance and Educational Assistance.
