Aboitiz Foundation was organized as a non-stock, non-profit corporation in September 29, 1988 as the “social development arm” of the Aboitiz Group of companies. Guided by its purpose to drive change for a better world by advancing business and communities, the Foundation focuses on programs on education, enterprise development, and environment. Over three decades, its corporate social responsibility (CSR) interventions have evolved from one-time donations to carefully-designed programs that empower its beneficiaries to pursue their aspirations. Today, together with the Group’s Business Units, the Aboitiz Foundation develops and implements CSR 2.0 projects that aim to co-create safe, empowered and sustainable communities. These projects deliver long-term benefits, are aligned to the Group’s core competencies, encourage team members’ engagement, and are scalable initiatives that create a positive sustainable impact of national scope. It is both an operating and grant-making organization with projects in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Its principal office is located at the Aboitiz Corporate Center, Gov. Manuel A. Cuenco Ave., Kasambagan, Cebu City. NCR office is located at 15th Floor, NAC Tower, 32nd St., BGC, Taguig City. The foundation has 17 regular staff, 2 casual staff (via Agency) and 15 members of the Board of Trustees (5 vacant positions).
